Paintshop Studio were armed with the task to create some graffiti for the phenomenally popular Wipeout game by Playstation. The latest release in the series 'Wipeout 2048' is a prequel to the previous offerings and is set as the new sport of anti-gravity racing is beginning to emerge. Dedicated racing tracks are yet to be built, and races take place in the New York city streets strewn with decaying graffiti. Keep your eyes peeled for our pieces to support the teams, a few friendly characters and the odd tag or two, well we couldn't resist! Out on European release 22nd Feb.

Pushing the boundaries for DJ Format...

We're proud to present the latest creative offering from Paintshop Studio for the legendary DJ Format. The video which has just been released is a teaser for his new Album, Statement of Intent. It's already making a big noise on music sites and is proving to be the perfect accompaniment to the soundtrack and building the hype before it goes on sale.

Filmed and edited by Jeff Metal the video features animated graffiti rappers, created entirely in spraypaint and bought to life by painting and re-painting key elements.

Statement of Intent is out on release on 27/02/2012. This will definitely feature at the top of our playlist.

We were kept very busy during the last part of 2011 working with Claire's accessories on their stand for the massive Clothes Show Live held at the Birmingham NEC. Claire's are very keen to expand their brand perception and wanted to go 'all out' to create an amazing inclusive experience for their customers. We set about developing the concept with Claire's, designing and producing a magical enchanted forest den fit for a princess!

The Clothes Show Live is a hugely competitive event with over 450 stands from all the major brands in the market so we were very proud that Claire's won the 'Best Space Stand' award judged by the Clothes Show Live team! Not bad for our first major exhibition stand!

We would just like to say.. "Thanks to our friends and family! and of course the very accommodating and professional and Arcade Design who created the shell of the stand and to the Claire's marketing team and the trust they placed in us"! ; )

Happy New year! Well the world didn't end on the 1st which some predicted which we're pleased about as we are pretty excited about 2012!

We had an amazing year last year, so thanks to all who were apart of it and made it happen. For 2012 we have even bigger plans and loads of exciting projects lined up including new collaborations with DJ Format and a brand new website (coming very soon) just to kick off the new year off with.

We've just painted a huge 96sheet billboard in the heart of Shoreditch in London for sassy ex-xfactor contestant Cher Lloyd. We worked with the very talented Studio Output on this, with them suppling a simple black n white layout and for us to add our funk.

Our latest project for PlayStation hits the press today with a full back page press ad in the Metro!!

Paintshop Studio were brought on board to create a huge graffiti wall in the PlayStation HQ featuring their most popular games characters. Working with the exceptional Love creative studio, the image was photographed and used as the backdrop for a major new series of print and digital advertising as well as point-of-sale for their new PSP handheld device, so keep your eyes-peeled over the next year.

This is the first of a few new projects we have done with PlayStation to get released so were very excited.

We were invited to create a bespoke animated home screen for the PS3 and PSP as part of The Studio, their on-line store, and join the ranks of other leading illustrators, designers and artists from across the globe.

'Peckham-on-Sea' is our slightly twisted, light-hearted and oddly relaxing look at global warming. Originally created with spraypaint, then photographed and animated to bring the characters to life in your front room.

Paintshop Studio donated their time and efforts to Lysada community group who needed a bit of love and a lick of paint to brighten up their play centre. Run solely by volunteers this centre is working hard fundraising to rebuild the adventure playground for the local children. Here's the before and after pics!

We've been spending more productive time in the bar again, not drinking this time, but designing the interior art for a new bar in Brixton called Kaff Bar.

They gave us an open brief and a blank canvas to create some character and add atmosphere for the space. We brought an outside inside theme using vintage advertising images and mixing with large scale typography to give a distinct style as well as creating a space where you can comfortably kick back, relax and enjoy a nice cold beer and soak up the art.

Paintshop Studio pulled out their finest threads and joined the fashion pack for Vogue Fashion Night Out. The evening was originally conceived to help boost the economy and support the retail industry. It now takes place in cities all around the world with hundreds of brands holding special events in store to celebrate the night.

This weekend saw the huge fundraising benefit auction for graffiti legend Robbo who has sadly been in a coma for the past few months after a bad fall. Robbo is recognised as one the pioneers of UK graffiti which was proven by amount of art work donated by some of the worlds biggest names in the artform including Paintshop's own Dep and Tizer.

The event took the shape of a preview show held in the Pure Evil gallery and a silent auction held at a packed out Cargo also in Shoreditch London raising a substantial amount of money for Robbo's family. Just goes to show how much love there is still in the London graffiti scene.

Stolen Space gallery was filled to the rafters last night as members of the skateboarding and bmx community turned out in force to support the opening of Out of Stock. Stockwell skate park has seen over 30 years of skateboarding and over that time has been an iconic place to visit and has built a solid community of skaters and bmxers. Out of Stock is an exhibition that pulls together art from illustrators, photographers, graffiti artists and film from the wide pool of talent that frequent the park. 'Out of Stock' features work from Paintshop Studios Tizer and runs from 18th - 28th August at Stolen Space Gallery.

Paintshop artists Dep and Tizer are featured in an amazing new art show in London's West Bank Gallery on Ladbroke Grove. The preview night was packed and saw live art from the duo, the show will be open for 2 weeks and is well worth a visit.

Also having an exhibition in the same space is the fantastic Mr Keith Baugh author and photographer of the amazing Early New York Subway Graffiti 1973-1975, a truly exceptional book documenting the very early days of Graffiti on NY subways. A really talented and cool guy with loads of interesting stories to tell... as well as looking a bit like he could be Tizers Dad!

As DJ Shadows latest track says 'I'm excited'. Paintshop present the latest film for the Island Records street gallery. This little number should get your toes tappin.

The artwork will be on display until September on the Silver Bullet bar in Finsbury Park. The original artwork was created by Californian artist Tony Papesh. Thanks to Jeff Metal once again who filmed and edited the video.

We were recently invited to help decorate the huge Roskilde Festival in Denmark along with around 40 other artists from around the world. It was an amazing trip, loads of fun, good food, stacks of our favourite paint provided by Molotow and over a mile of wall to decorate. Couldn't be better really.

Vauxhall Corsa Street Style... Look what you could of won!

We've just completed a 96 sheet spray painted billboard in the heart of London's Old Street for Vauxhall as the final part of the Corsa Street Style competition.

Vauxhall launched the competition for their Facebook users to design their own 'street style' art featuring the Corsa car. There was over 10,000 entrants, with the best judged by Paintshop Studio and the legendary Inkie to pick the winner. Not only did the winner Leigh Hoyte receive a brand new Corsa car, but we also spray painted his artwork onto a huge billboard in the centre of London and invited him down to pick up his car and sign his artwork. Not a bad prize all in all.

Big thanks to all that have been involved, Monkey Science for the films and to Rory Lindsay for the photography of the final product.

Last night saw the launch of the Cypher Project at the Village Underground, this is an ambitious project which works with current artists to raise money and awareness for charitable funds worldwide.

This is a dedication to the classic Puma Clyde sneaker. Also known as the Puma Suede this shoe was created for basketball legend Clyde (The Glide) Drexler but was soon adopted by the B'boy's in downtown New York in the early 80's to become a truly iconic shoe and a Paintshop favourite.

One of the most exciting artists of the moment, my main hombre and Paintshop collaborator Bonzai has teamed up with UpperPlayground for a show tomorrow night (Thursday 11th Nov) at their store on Kingsland Road London, this is one not to be missed! Bonzai will be painting live and with some really nice canvases to snap up.

These are some still images from a blue-sky concept demo we designed with mobile experts Fjord for a top publishing group, to show the potential and possibilities for one of their main titles.

The ipad has some very loud critics saying it has no real use, but I strongly believe it has a huge potential to replace the ugly PC in the corner of the lounge for many people and families who really only use them at home for browsing the internet and viewing photos, online TV, youTube etc, but also, as the first serious alternative to paper publishing.

The tools here, lets see what we can do with it.

Meeting of Styles graffiti events are held all around the world as way for graffiti artists to meet up, paint and exchange ideas. Originating from Wiesbaden Germany, it is now a global event, with Meetings as far flung as Malaysia and San Francisco, with each event inviting artists from overseas to participate as well as from home.

London's event this year was quite weirdly held in Highbury Studios, a nice posh estate, near Hollowway Road station.

These are all studio portraits taken in the Lambeth. There is something really interesting and quite funny about how people want to be seen by the rest of the world.

Graffiti makes the BBC news... but this time, for the right reasons!

Yesterday the BBC news braved the Stockwell estate to interview Paintshop friends Solo and Bonzai, also featured this week in the Evening Standard and Metro. There seems to be a bit of a buzz at the moment about the Stockwell Park Estate 'Hall of Fame' which has been the home of London graffiti for decades.

Stockwell Park Estate, in London, was completed in 1974 with the ambition to be a prime example of modern living, but very quickly the estate showed its weaknesses with seeping water, insect infestations and major safety and security concerns with the high walk ways and dark garage areas on the ground floor. The high smooth walls of the sunken ball court in the center of the estate soon attracted your typical 'Tracy loves Nigel' and 'Westham FC' type graffiti, but over the years the graffiti art form developed and gained popularity the walls became more of an urban gallery attracting visiting artists from around the world.

This year more than any other I've know, has seen the standard of work increase to a new level but at the same time the talk of the council closing it down has also become louder.

Solo's aim is to raise awareness for this amazing, organically grown creative space which has, and still has buried under the many, many layers of paint, seen the work of some of the best graffiti artists in the world and a history of London's graffiti art.

Its not glamourous, comfortable or really all that safe, but its still our favorite place to paint and would be a massive shame to see it closed down like most of the other legal sites in London over the last few years.

I was one of the designers for this and part of the team at Unorthodox Styles who created this classic book.

We created this cutomised toy and packaging (the white one on the left) for Ecko a few years ago while on the Eating Frogs Tour of China - A Hip-Hop tour showcasing DJ's, breakdancers and graffiti artists from the West. Other artists included Toast (Switzerland), Ceet (France), Kongo and Myre from the MACrew (France) and of course the legendary Dj DSK!

"A painting by a graffiti artist was among the official gifts to Barack Obama from David Cameron on his first trip to Washington as prime minister.

The work, Twenty First Century City, is by Ben Eine, said to be one of the PM's wife Samantha's favourite artists.

The 39-year-old artist recently sprayed the entire alphabet on shop shutters in a London street."

Our friends HS&P, London's hugely successful integrated ad agency, have now re-branded as Crayon! To help launch the new brand they asked us to paint the lobby of their Oxford Circus offices overnight to surprise their staff the morning after the launch party. Dep and Bonzai did the honors pulling a late night and working their magic.
